Steve launched Golden Egg having spent 25 years leading innovation and strategy in the Creative, Media, Sport, Entertainment and Digital Industries.


As Creative and Product Director at Deltatre, he received the 2013 BAFTA for Digital Creativity on behalf of the team he led delivering Channel 4’s London 2012 Paralympics coverage.


At the BBC, Steve headed up BBC Sport’s Innovation strand of their multi-platform strategy within the corporation’s ‘Creative Future’ initiative. He spent five years as the series editor of BBC1’s Football Focus and led the corporation’s Broadcast & Digital Production Centres in Germany for World Cup 2006 & Austria for Euro 2008.


Steve has produced and directed a number of BBC1 documentaries including Premiership Priory and Sexism in Football and has also worked with the UK’s top talent in Comedy, Entertainment and News.


He devised and wrote the book ‘Cult Heroes’ which led to the successful franchise and Steve has received three individual nominations from the Royal Television Society (RTS) including the prestigious Creative Sequence of the Year award. He is an elected member of BIMA’s Hot 100 and The Drum magazine’s Digerati.

Before co-founding Golden Egg, Steve was Head of Products at Deltatre where he was responsible for managing and evolving the company’s product assessment & implementation workflows. Whilst in the role he led the concept & delivery phase for key digital products to clients including CBC, STAR Sports & BSkyB, as well as several rights holding broadcasters during the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.


Prior to focussing on product management, Steve built an industry reputation in project management for the faultless delivery of high profile & complex, live digital services.


Steve’s expertise across web & mobile platforms has been used to deliver the world’s largest sporting events including the Olympics Games & FIFA World Cup.


In 2012, Steve was the lead project manager on the NBC Universal website for the London 2012 Olympics Games, a site that delivered the highest recorded digital revenues in sporting history. Attracting 1.9 billion page views & 159 million video streams the project proved a seminal moment for digital sport consumption.
